Hans Selimi 5th Dan

 

Selimi Sensei is a third generation Aikido Instructor he teaches "traditional" Aikido
at his Renbu Dojo at Ringwood-Croyden. Hans started training in Aikido with Barry
Knight 6thdan, a senior student of Morihiro Saito 9th Dan in February 1985 and
has continued to train with him to this day.Selimi Senseiwas the first of Knight
Sensei's students to open his own Dojo in Melbourne which was at the Norwood
Primary School in Ringwood in 1992. He then moved to his current Dojo in 1994.
Hans was awarded his Godan (5th Dan) by Knight Sensei in November 2002.

He teaches centralised extension control in empty hand, jo (staff) and bokken
(wooden sword) technique to mixed classes within a safe and friendly training
environment.

He runs a skilled, dedicated and nurturing Dojo with over 16 years of continuous
training. His aim is to help each student attain their greater mind and body potential.

It is a very traditional Dojo and Selimi places great importance on learning and
understanding correct basic techniques.
